I hear this one all the time: people dont want to take up a ton of their friends or familys time discussing work. I understand that, family is family and we want to focus on spending quality time with them when were around them right? (At least some quality time, most people I know need to limit the time they spend with their families due to your typical family issues. But I digressThats a whole nother post.) This is where your business card can come in handy. When people ask what youve been up to, segue into a brief chat about your job, and then slip them the card just in case they know anybody.
